QUICK UPDATE/COMMENTARY FROM CMJ -- One of the most hotly-tipped CMJ-performing acts, Black Kids, is complete and utter horse-shit. The hype machine is a BITCH, ain't it. Tawkamongstyisselves.
RADIOHEAD UPDATE (PART DEUX) -- Looks like it's official - well...as official as the latest rumor can be -- insiders tell us that Radiohead will release their physical album through ATO Records and NOT Warner Bros., who were rumored to have been in the running. What this means for WB execs Rob Gordon and Perry Watts Russell remains to be seen. Interesting side-note -- Red Light Management, part of the forward-thinking collective of companies including ATO, Side One Records and MusicToday, manage Alanis Morrisette. Alanis is a WEA (Reprise) artist. Hmmm...

CMJ SHOWS OF NOTE -- It's that time of year again: snotty-nosed hipster college radio programmers from across the U.S. migrate to NYC for CMJ ...and a handful of label scouts and A&R execs (all four of them that are left!) are right there next to them... We figured we'd make a little list of shows to check out -- a couple of unsigned artists, a couple of established acts. You gotta mix it up!
